This year, we have the distinction of having been selected as Krups' Kup of Excellence 2008 winner for Halifax. Every year an expert panel of connoisseurs, restaurateurs and culinary media judge the Krups Kup of Excellence competition. The task is to determine the top spots for espresso in Canada. This program has been developed to recognize the commitment of independent cafes to brewing superior-tasting espresso in a unique environment that celebrates Canadians' passion for skillfully prepared coffee. Cafes in various cities were judged to assess both the espresso and the establishments according to 4 criteria: atmosphere, staff expertise and customer service, beverage presentation, and finally, the espresso itself.
